About Us

The Club was founded here on Shea Terrace in 1964, at the edge of Lake Pupuke, North Shore, Auckland.  When the Club first opened there were two squash courts, and over years, as the interest in the squash and club membership continued to grow, the club was expanded and developed into one of New Zealand's biggest clubs.

 

The North Shore Squash Club facilities include 7 squash courts, 3 of which are glass-backed, all with great viewing, a free-weight gym, bar and lounge, catered kitchen, an outdoor deck area, and office facilities.

Now known as one of the premier clubs in New Zealand, we are privileged to host major national and international squash events every year.

​

The Club has a robust senior member base, with both social and competitive players. Our senior Club evenings are held on Thursday starting from 6:00pm. The Club has a Ladies Night program which is held on Monday evenings starting at 6:00pm.

Our junior programs continue to attract and grow this valuable membership base. We have two major junior programs with beginners and social & low-level players receiving coaching on Friday evenings.

Our junior players who are identified in an ‘elite’ category receive additional coaching both within the Club and are recommended for inclusion into the Auckland regional and the national coaching programs.  We are proud to see that many of New Zealand’s prominent squash players have been a part of our club and have benefited from the Club’s programs.
